Proactively work on the automation, deployment, operations and scaling
aspects of production services and applications
Develop and/or improve monitoring and alerting tools by writing scripts
Develop and/or improve automated system management solutions in the areas
of monitoring, testing, operations and automation
Assist in evaluating design of new and existing systems to assess
functionality, effectiveness, reliability, performance, usage,
maintainability
Assist in reliability of data and automate manual processes
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related
• 3+ years of heavy scripting and/or application development
• 2+ years of Python and Django framework experience
• Experience with Linux environments as well as deploying, maintaining, and
monitoring production applications is a plus
• Good understanding of relational database concepts and 2+ years of
experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
• Experience in monitoring and trending software is a plus
• Experience with systems and system design with demonstrated ability to
understand strengths/weaknesses in current systems and define improvements
Other Skills and Experience Include:
• Must be a quick learner who is willing to get their hands dirty and dig
into existing systems and processes to understand and document exactly how
they work
• Detailed oriented, organized, problem solving, and able to work
independently and with a team
• Motivated, self-directed, results oriented
• Ability to summarize complex topics for non-technical customers both
verbally and visually
• At ease when communicating with external international business partners
