Position: Sr. Android Developer Location: Atlanta, GA Length: 1-2 months *Overview:* Client is looking for a Sr. Android Developer with demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise scale mobile solutions. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic vision and solid execution skills to create native applications for mobile devices. Furthermore, they will actively participate in all team agile ceremonies and contributing to ensure that all team commitments are delivered on time and of the highest quality *Requirements:* 1. Must have 5+ years Sr Native Android applications development experience & leading small teams specifically utilizing Android, Java and open source technologies including: o Must have Lead Experience using RESTful APIs to integrate mobile applications to server side systems o Experience in 2-3 Android SDK components (Content Providers, Networking, Services, Broadcast Receivers, Intents, Fragments) o experience developing and supporting their own app in one of the Android markets (Google Play, Amazon App Store, etc.) o Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript a plus 2. Experience with high-volume transactional systems, public facing APIs, search infrastructure and integrating with APIs o Ability to translate designs and wire-frames into code. o Experience in creating Android applications in Agile methodology. o Experience with an open source development environment using tools such as Maven / Gradle, Jenkins and Git is a plus o Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle o Familiarity with open-source libraries/frameworks, Eg: Spring, Guava, Apache HTTP, etc. o Automated testing expertise for Android development a must 3. Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies 4. Ability to troubleshoot, performance tune and understand Java and Android memory utilization in code produced 5. Knowledge of object-oriented methodologies, UML design techniques, event driven architectures, and other design patterns 6. Familiarity with open-source libraries/frameworks, Eg: Spring, Guava, Apache HTTP, etc. 7.
