This position will work with the current XXXX Seibel Senior Applications Developer, Project Manager and Corporate Sales Director to determine the best upgrade path for XXXX. The position will incorporate all current and future custom configurations as determined by the Corporate Sales Director. Responsibilities include: Develop, test, debug and document appropriate upgrade paths . Communicate benefits and implications of various upgrade options. Make recommendation on upgrade option appropriate to meet XXXX business needs. Execute all steps required for upgrade from Siebel 8.0 to 8.1 Work with Corporate Sales Director to determine most efficient and effective way for sales staff to manage calendar, contacts and email communications in new Siebel version. Apply custom configurations to meet XXXX business needs where applicable. Leverage Siebel Outlook integration and/or plugins where possible. Configure contact and calendar data to synch between Siebel and Outlook for all sales staff. Provide Siebel offline capability for all XXXX Sales staff. Promote quality within the team. Write test plans and test results. Support and troubleshoot the production Siebel applications following the upgrade process. Understand system performance and how to optimize code, configuration and enterprise interactions. Share technical and product knowledge with other team members. Qualifications: · 4+ years experience working with Siebel implementations and/or upgrades · Must have an in-depth technical knowledge of Siebel 8.0 and 8.1. · Bachelors Degree (or equivalent work experience) preferred · Previous experience upgrading to Siebel 8.1 · Experience with Siebel CRM desktop · Experience implementing and supporting Siebel offline capabilities Skills and knowledge: Must be able to work independently without supervision.
