*Please check the JD and let me know if you have any local candidates available. * *Position: QA Analyst Level III* *Location: Torrance, CA* *Duration:12+ months* *Interview: phone then Skype* *Local candidates first!* *In-person interview a strong preference.* *Excellent comm skills* and not too many short term Contracts on the Resume. *Big + is Auto and Telematics exp. !* *Responsibilities* -Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results, and test status -Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the business needs -Documents all problems and assists in their resolution. -Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners -Performs quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed. *Daily Tasks Performed* -Provide expertise in the planning, construction, and execution of test scripts -Apply business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the team's overall objectives -Track defects to closure and keep defect repository up-to-date -Work pro-actively with members of an Agile team to find root cause of defects in product using manual and automated testing -Partner with product owner and developers to deliver a quality product to clients -Evaluation and reporting of test results *Musts* BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience.
