*Position: Java Developer* *Location: Minnetonka, MN* *Duration:6+ months* *Interview: Phone then Skype* *Rate:$48/hr on C-C* *USC,GC Only* As a Senior Java Software Engineer you will play a key role in project delivery as both an individual contributor and by interfacing with onshore and offshore development teams. You will design, build and deliver highly performant and scalable web applications and APIs by leveraging your strong technical foundation, interpersonal and project management skills. Primary Responsibilities • Perform all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing • Design and implement product features in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders • Design reusable components, frameworks and libraries • Work very closely with architecture groups and drive solutions • Participate in an Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases • Design and develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of the business • Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance • Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required • Mentor and guide other software engineers within the team • Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will enable team velocity • Estimate engineering work effort for engineering team and effectively identify and prioritize the high impact tasks • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets coding best practices guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines • Drive a quality mindset within the team Skillset: - Java (1.6, 1.7, 1.8) o JEE6 o Servlet 3.0 o JMS - Spring Framework/suite (at least 3.0, 3.2.x) o Spring Batch o Spring MVC o Sprint JMS - Unix*/Linux*/Windows OS (*preferred) - Unix shell scripting (e.g. bash, ksh) - Apache projects: CXF, Tomcat, etc. - SOAP - RESTful Services - JSON - JQuery - XML: XPATH, XSLT, XQUERY, XSD (Schema), etc. - Java app servers: WebSphere, JBOSS - Build tools: Maven, Ant, Gradle - Must have some combinations of these spring framework is very important.
