Job Title: DevOps/Mid-Java Developer Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months *Location : Reston VA* *Role Description:* This is a high-priority, long-term role requiring the resource to: · Redesign existing build procedures to reduce complexity and enable more CI/CD operations · Create and update Jenkins jobs in order to build and deploy complex applications · Have a solid understanding of Maven POMs in order to create the build scripts/jobs necessary to deploy code · Know how to administer and configure Jenkins · Understand how Nexus ties into the build process and how to configure Nexus itself · Understand how Sonar ties into the build process and how to configure Sonar itself · Know basic Linux to be able to build Java applications via the command line, debug issues, & update software on Linux servers · Have previous experience with Git and GitHub in order to provide support to the application development teams · Provide Java & Linux related support for application development teams · Have excellent debugging skills and be self-motivated · Have excellent communication skills · Raise issues and risks to supervisor in a timely manner *Required Skills:* · DevOps - · Shell Scripting Languages (sh/csh/ksh/Cscript/JCL/others) · SVN/Git/GitHub · Jenkins · Nexus · Sonar · Maven / POM files · Java · Jira *Well-Qualified Candidates Will Also Have the Following:* · RedHat Package Management · Ansible / Puppet / Chef · Amazon Web Services (AWS) · Gradle *All candidates should have:* · Proven ability to work independently and as a team member · Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills · Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills · Eligibility to receive Federal Public Trust clearance · Established residency in the US for 3 of the last 5 years.
