*Job Description: *

You will be the team lead for the full life cycle software development of
the AES Advancion® energy storage solution, the key component in every AES
storage offering.  We are seeking a developer with a passion for software
design and extensive experience with the Software Development Life Cycle
(SLDC) and software version control (git).  You will lead development of
the Advancion® Human Machine Interface (HMI), focusing on robustness,
security, performance, scalability and maintainability.  As part of the AES
Energy Storage Solution Development team, be responsible for:

·         Developing the Advancion distributed control system which
integrates grid scale battery and power conversion systems from industry
leading manufacturers.

·         Designing, coding, debugging and fully documenting the Advancion®
Human Machine Interface (HMI) with Ruby on Rails on a Linux platform.

·         Determining best practices of full life cycle software
development pertaining to the AES Advancion® product.

·         Meet project timeline and budget while maintaining a learning
environment that will improve capabilities for future larger scale
deployments.

*Qualifications*:

·         A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming,
Engineering, or Mathematics from an accredited university with 7+ years’
work experience. Significant related work experience will be considered in
lieu of bachelor’s degree.

·         Expertise in developing in Ruby on Rails on Linux is required.

·         Experience with Objective C, Swift, Python and NoSQL preferred.

·         Experience with leading software development teams using Agile
development methodologies.

·         Working knowledge of version control systems such as Subversion
or Git, and bug/issue tracking tools such as JIRA.

·         Shell scripting and other Unix/Linux knowledge is a plus.

·         Strong abstraction, algorithmic, software design, and programming
skills.

·         Enthusiasm for getting things done, taking personal
responsibility, adding value within a team setting, and ability to work
with minimal supervision.

·         Potential for travel, domestically and internationally, up to 5%
of the time.
