Cisco Certified Candidates.

Experience: Minimum 10 – 15 years

Equipment Types - Cisco mostly, Nortel some

Data and Voice networking

Works with LAN\WAN hardware including patch panels, Fiber Optics, Cat5e and
Cat 6 wiring, DTE and DCE devices.



A Network Engineer III is a senior contributor and will be involved in some
leadership activities.

A Network Engineer III also:



1. Is expected to maintain expertise in the latest networking technologies
and develop standardized solutions and best practices for network design
and configurations.



2. Contributes to the analysis and design for current and emerging
technologies for deployment across the enterprise, including but not
limited to layer 2\3 LAN switching, routing technologies.



3. Performs network architecture reviews and develops detailed engineering
design and deployment plans.



4. Provides documentation to support development, implementation and
training along with presenting to technical and non- technical audiences.



5. Provides high-level support and rapid resolution to complex network
problems. Demonstrates ability to use network analysis tools and apply
industry standard best practices approach to support issues.



6. Provides mentoring for junior engineers and participate in rotating on
call responsibilities.



7. Participates in cross-functional meetings in support of projects and
operational duties.



8. Works with LAN\WAN hardware including patch panels, Fiber Optics, Cat5e
and Cat 6 wiring, DTE and DCE devices.



9. Works with the Service Desk using the supporting ticketing system to
resolve customer incidents and tasks.
