*Location: FL-Florida/Miami* *Duration: 3+ Months* The ideal candidate will have experience with the following: • Has good background of application development • Strong ability in taking business reqs and developing database structure; participating in tuning; optimization of database • Someone with experience of producing an application that supports database functions *• D not need a dba* • Hlp supplement current architect when overloaded • God pragmatic experience in taking business reqs and designing technical solutions for them *• Pease do not send candidates that do not have specific hands-on experience with unisys rdms. * *• Mst have 3+ years of uniysys rdms experience* Preferred qualifications: • W would need the candidate to be comfortable, capable, and qualified to provide mentoring, coaching, and knowledge transfer to members of both the pricing rewrite project team and the production support team. • We may also like to take opportunity of having this person work with the unisys dba team to help them become more comfortable with providing maintenance support to an rdms db of this scale. • The candidate should be very experienced in designing large scale rdms databases that are accessed by very high volume, sub-second transactions. • In addition to which we would need this person to be very capable of performing db review and tuning activities on already created rdms structures (thus helping us improve that which we have already developed.) • The candidate should also be an experienced applications developer with a solid track record of being able to translate business requirements into application designs ... and must be comfortable working on a team of about 20 people comprised of mixed skill-sets. • In short, the perfect candidate would be someone capable of seamlessly combining the above three points; designing efficient, business need/application focused rdms database structures. • The candidate should be very experienced in performing efficiency reviews of the rdms code that we develop into our cobol programs, providing clear correction-direction where needed. • the above is especially important when considering the critical performance that will be needed by the pricing rewrite project's core subroutines. • The candidate should also be able to quickly work to develop a series of standards that will be followed to best develop cobol based rdms references.
