The Sr Internet Engineer delivers specialized engineering and technical support for Client's portfolio of applications. This person MUST be highly skilled in design of infrastructure and troubleshooting web based applications that run on the Windows operating system. In addition, the candidate must be Microsoft certified or have equivalent experience. This is an engineering/support position NOT an entry-level or application developer position. Summary of Responsibilities include: - Application infrastructure design and configuration related to windows based applications. - Application configuration, Level-3 problem resolution, and customer support. Ideal candidate possesses solid understanding of www technologies/protocols, Web Services, web & app servers, load balancing and web acceleration products. -Partner with technical experts in: Application Development, DBA, Networking, Engineering, Mainframe, and vendors such as IBM, Microsoft, etc. Execute a set of services that meets or exceeds service level agreements and is specialized for a certain MetLife Line of Business. -Business focus of this position mandates the drive towards learning detailed technical and business functions of the applications suite used to support the business. SharePoint administration, infrastructure work, and architecture. 2. SharePoint development a plus. 3. SharePoint knowledge using Kerberos, Excel services, Performance point, InfoPath, SSRS. 4. Work in a team environment, supporting over 100 MetLife applications that reside in the Windows environments. 5. Server configuration, deployment and troubleshooting of applications on over 300 servers. 6. Engineering - Design of infrastructure and provide solutions for technical application issues. 7. Problem Resolution/Availability Management - Direct the immediate resolution of problems for applications to meet SLAs and customer expectations. 8. Thin-Client Infrastructure implementations and configurations - Drive the consistent and quality implementation of new and existing application infrastructure according to engineering design. 9. Proactive Health Monitoring - Drive the development and use of monitoring information to maintain service levels and prevent problems before they occur. 10.
