Job Title: *BI Engineer/Cognos Developer* Job Type: Contract Duration: 6 months *Location : Hoboken, NJ* Job Description: Must Have: - *Strong Cognos and SQL skills* (Almost an even split of SQL Developer and Cognos Developer) - *Need to have Financial Services experienc*e especially when it comes down to data modeling a basic transactional fact table and applying security for customers. - This role will have a bit of dimensional reporting as well in Cognos - ****Ideally a Cognos candidate with strong sql skills. Database development is not required, but should be able to understand how to formulate complex sql queries.**** - ****Candidates must know what an inner join is, which is a fairly basic question. We require someone who will be able to data mine through a sql server database.**** *BI Engineer/Cognos Developer* *- Looking for a Cognos BI data warehousing consultant - Cognos & SQL Server skills - More a report builder: someone to actually build the reports - Not too much BA - more on the technical side - Financial services background is A MUST HAVE - For this project its primarily straight SQL server and Cognos - 7-8 years experience is good - 1st phone screen then onsite f2f - only 1 in person, then a decision - onsite in Hoboken everyday - no remote work at all* *"HR" Job Summary:* This position is for a Business Intelligence Engineer with a background in SQL and data warehousing for enterprise level systems. The candidate will be responsible for the design and development of Cognos reports.
