For further details please contact me at 408-418-0290**.* *Please send me the resumes to **[email protected] <[email protected]>* *AIX System Engineer* *Charlotte, NC* *6 +month Contract* *Sourcing Rate: Best rate possible (we need to be very competitive, so negotiate hard)* Position Purpose · Leads the design, development, delivery, and optimization of AIX operating systems, P Series hardware, and related software. · Serve as a subject matter expert for the design, deployment, and improvement of AIX and Power solutions. · Analyzes complex problems, business requirements, and technical requirements to develop effective AIX solutions. · Provides AIX consulting and design services to application developers, project teams, and other consumers of AIX services. Required Technical Skills and Experience · Minimum 8 years of experience as an AIX system engineer or administrator. · Experience designing, developing, delivering, and optimizing AIX and dependent applications. · Expert level knowledge and experience with at least one of the following: Power VM, VIO Servers, Live Partition Mobility, and Power VC. · Proven experience with creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting shell scripts. · Advanced knowledge of network virtualization using Power VM, virtual network switches, and VLAN trunking. · Proven experience designing, creating, and maintaining NIM servers. · Experience mentoring and providing consulting services for the purpose of optimizing system performance, effectiveness, and efficiency. · Proven experience delivering computing services within a project management framework.
