*Senior Infrastructure EngineerAlpharetta, GA6+ Months ContractStart Date: ASAPProcess: Phone interview/Skype – Decision * *Position Summary:*My client is seeking a bright enthusiastic individual for a senior level position within the Engineering Team as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. You will use your problem solving and analytical abilities to design the next generation of the client’s product line. Along the way you will be expected to learn, embrace and teach new technologies. In addition to development work, you will serve in a mentor role where you are expected coach members of the development and QA teams. There are opportunities for career growth in the organization based on your performance, proven capabilities, and desire. *Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*•Architect, design, implement and test system infrastructure according to requirements. •Champion and adhere to the Agile / SCRUM methodology. •Ensure quality processes are followed throughout the development lifecycle. •Ensure adherence to the client’s best practices in development (Coding Standards, Unit Tests, Design Principles) •Perform design and code reviews and mentor less experienced developers. •Work with on and offshore developers in a team focused environment. •Work with Product Management to define project requirements. *Required Experience & Skillset:*•7 – 10 years of experience developing enterprise software while following coding and quality standards. •3 – 5 years of experience operating in a virtualized environment and managing virtual machines. •2+ years Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) experience. o Camel, Mule ESB, etc. •1+ years Container Deployment experience (Docker, Kafka, etc.). •1+ years Cloud Infrastructure experience (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.). *Day to Day demands (OT Determination)*•Proven experience with the following: o Linux OS (7+ years) (RHEL experience preferred) •Fully fluent in shell scripting (must) o Java (5+ years) •Spring Frameworks •EIP Development (2+ years) •Queueing Micro Services •Work with Agile Software Development Process (5+ years ) •Web Services standards, technologies, tools (e.g. XML, SOAP/REST, etc.), and enterprise class implementation •Big data persistence and processing frameworks such as Hadoop and NoSQL a plus •Service oriented and ability to thrive in a team environment •Design Patterns – Thorough understanding and ability to implement code using common design patterns. •Self-starter capable of working on projects independently and ability to mentor less experienced developers *Education:*•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, CIS, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent.
