Role Description: DBA responsibilities to support a large & complex Greenplum-based Enterprise Data Warehouse. Specifically: o Support the application development team in the design, development and implementation of product enhancements (e.g. logical data modeling, partitioning, distribution and indexing schemes) o Support the analytics and business operations teams in executing data requests and analyses (e.g. creation of temporary tables, performance tuning) o Support the system operations team in managing production interface and ETL data processing o Proactive monitoring of database health and performance o Capacity planning and management o Manage patches, upgrades and configuration changes o Design, develop, test and monitor backup and recovery policies and procedures o Define and maintain standards for database security, following Pivotal guidelines. o Manage user roles and privileges. o Act as Greenplum/PostgreSQL SME for production DBA support.
