- You are a solid Java developer with strong technical skills.
- Java [*and Swing experience*] is a requirement
- Knowledge of Unix operating system is a requirement
- Knowledge of high performance Java programming and profiling is
highly desirable
- Relational database such as SQL Server/Sybase/Oracle and strong SQL
is highly desirable
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Unix Shell, Perl, Python
desirable
- *Knowledge of Open-Source APIs is desirable*
- Knowledge of the FIX protocol is desirable
- Willingness and desire to understand distributed systems (Solaris,
Linux server-side), any prior experience beneficial.
- It is desirable that you have experience of front office investment
banking environment
- It would be useful if you have experience of electronic trading,
trade lifecycle and market structures
- You have strong communication skills and must be able to gain
internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and
establish a solid working relationship with QA and Development teams
- You have strong focus on ownership of issues and commitment to
resolving them, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a
proven track record of building successful working relationships
with peers
- Highly committed
- Maintain a professional approach to work, especially when under
pressure
- Practice good time management & attention to detail
- Produce deliverables that comply with Bank standards and guidelines
