Health Care company is seeking a Software Architect to design and drive
the construction of foundational components for our next generation of
software. This role requires a blend of technical leadership, team
leadership and hands-on development (~50% coding).
Software teams at Health Care company operate following an Agile
methodology. Our small, empowered teams collaborate to keep deliverables
on track, and team members are willing to do whatever is needed to achieve
goals.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Responsible for analyzing and translating business information and
technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines
solutions to achieve business objectives.
Works with application and infrastructure teams to review or produce
optimal, high level designs.
Conduct proof-of-concept projects to validate new feature sets and 3rd
party technologies.
Code contributor on the development of core platform features that are
consumed by application teams. Design and build cross-cutting components.
Analyze enterprise business drivers to determine corresponding technical
implementation and integration requirements.
Analyzes the current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop
opportunities for improvement such as improving business processes,
expanding capacity, reducing cost and increasing effectiveness.
Analyze technology industry and market trends and determine their potential
impact on the enterprise.
Design and help lead the implementation of an EA based on enterprise
business requirements and IT strategies.
Support governance activities associated with ensuring EA compliance.
Help develop a road map of the evolution of the enterprise application
portfolio from current to future state, as appropriate.
Evangelize proper architecture concepts and mentor others in the
organization on usage of frameworks, patterns and design concepts. Conduct
presentations and brown bag lunch sessions to socialize concepts.
Document all solution architecture design and analysis work.
Build and maintain credibility & trust when exposed to executive and senior
level management and business partners.
Required Skills
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of C#, .Net framework, Asp.Net , MVC
Strong knowledge of OOAD and multi-tier architectures, including
MVC/MVP/MVVM design patterns.
Strong knowledge of web services, WCF, REST, SOA Architecture.
Experience with MS Entity Framework.
Strong knowledge of MVC GUI design including the ability to incorporate
JQuery, JavaScript and CSS, plus expertise with AJAX/SPA.
Ability to translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.
Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture ") and short-term
objectives.
Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems.
At least 5 years of experience in solution areas such as application design
and development, application integration, middleware, database management
or operations, information security, technical architecture, and network
management.
Well rounded technology experience/exposure.
Proven Ability to develop detailed solution designs. Understands
Architecture Constructs - (Architecture & Design patterns, protocols SOAP,
REST etc.), Development Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Experience working with cross-functional technical teams. The ideal
candidate will possess technology, business, and architecture background
that enables them to engage at the CXO level as well as with business
partners and solution vendors.
Possesses the essential consulting skills. These skills include but are not
restricted to planning & preparation, expectation setting, persuasion,
negotiation & objection handling, tact & diplomacy, sales & commercial
awareness.
Articulate and effective communicator and presenter, able to describe
complex problems and solutions in simple or understandable terms.
Other Desired Skills
Microsoft .NET certifications (MCP, MCSD, or MCAD)
Familiarity with Bootstrap, CSS 3, HTML 5
Knowledge of Test Driven Development and frameworks like FakeitEasy, Moq
JavaScript testing frameworks like Jasmine, Karma
Familiarity with SOLID principle and GoF patterns
Experience with IoC containers like unity, structuremap
Healthcare domain knowledge
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Software/Computer/Electrical Engineering,
Computer/Information Sciences or Mathematics with 8+ years’ experience.
