*Job Overview:*
- Have several projects working in parallel, need add support
to coordinate the deployment and ensure its successful completion (Pega,
Java aps)m perform testing, communicate with stakeholders.
- Need to know Serena SBM is used as version control tool for
Java deployments, change management processing experience, Pega is nice to
have, but will give docs to come up to speed to Pega deployment
- Understanding portal/web apps quickly, do smoke tests,
communicate to right teams to show where apps can be failing
- *Exp with Serena – min 3-5 yrs of exp*
- D2D: deployment coordination, collecting deployments from
dif teams, effect communicating with TDM to see whether there is a
deployment, ensure that it is properly executed, validate docs for
deployments and ensure all docs is in place, work with admin teams for
proper schedule, do usability tests once deployment is completed to ensure
it works properly, do corrective action if needed
- Change management exp: own the deployment plans, meet with
teams and ensure these plans are followed. Candidates will be leading few
releases at a time.
- Will consider someone light as long as they have experience
with Serena and had successfully deployed apps
- Duration: might go beyond 6 months, has some deployments
that will go into 2017
- Onsite at OM 100%
- Some off-hour deployment will be required (8pm shifts), will
depend on the offshore testing team schedule, not on a constant basis but
on a per needed basis, off-hours can be done remotely.
- Interview: phone, then In person, no Skype
- *Top 3: exp with Serena SBM and deployment coordination (min
3-5yrs of USA), change management exp. and CM tools (ClearCase and etc),
good writing and com skills, Pega is nice to have*
- Background doesn’t matter
- This is a new role, don’t have anyone who is dedicated to
this as of now
- Web app knowledge expectations: testing of web apps,
internet technology exp on the dev side, following user manual and ensuring
that all the workflows are working
