This position bridges the gap between business partners and technology solution providers working collaboratively in a team environment. This individual will part of agile team that designs and develops features for our leading Medical Research Journals platform that hosts over 300 uniquely branded electronic journals sites. In addition, this critical role reports directly to the Director Product Management, Global Platform Development, for the health division, within our Corporate. Our Senior Software Engineer designs and implements high-quality features for leading Medical Research online platforms. Contributions to the building and improving of Fluid, Responsive web/application interfaces to support key projects for complex public facing websites, is the main function of this senior lead engineer. The candidate will have a strong knowledge and experience in building enterprise class complex Web based systems or Mobile applications. This position will work as part of a Scrum team and participate in cross functional team meetings, requirements gathering, scoping, decision making, and technical documentation. *ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*The Senior Software Engineer will take an important role in the implementation of various Web based products, Mobile applications for a large online portfolio. You will design and build innovative user interfaces solutions for a variety of Web based systems, and provide advice and guidance in the adoption of new technologies and industry best practices. *Responsibilities include:*•Lifecycle activities of design, development, unit testing and deployment. Additional responsibilities include: •Work with product owner and development teams during envisioning •Analyze and translate requirements into technical design documents. Develop whole solutions or parts of solutions contributing specialized technical knowledge. Design innovative technical solutions that deliver optimal user experience on variety of screen sizes and resolutions. •Research and evaluate emerging technologies and architectural improvements. Perform unit testing to ensure the technical quality of all project deliverables.
