| Key Skills : | Description This is a senior engineering role requiring both, strong hardware engineering and strong Linux diagnostics background. The ideal candidate will be able to create and execute hardware test plans for hardware qualification as well as manufacturing test development. Responsibilities Develop reliable test methods for Clients appliances as well as individual system components for hardware qualification and manufacturing test. Review platform and component functional specifications, create test requirements and test plans, translate them into test procedures. Verify that product verification requirements are met and will results in high quality products. Perform trouble-shooting and verification under Linux. Identify methodologies, equipment, and tools for creating manufacturing test flow. Anticipate electrical and mechanical failure modes and establish processes to detect them. Analyze manufacturing data to improve manufacturing test processes, enhance efficiency, consistency, cost avoidance, and improved reliability. Investigate and diagnose test failures and respond to requests for changes and improvements. Perform FA/RCA on field failures. Support bring-up of new appliances. Requirements 7+ years experience with manufacturing test software for x86 enterprise server, storage, or networking products. Hands on expertise in testing, diagnosis, and troubleshooting under Linux is a MUST. Strong Python, Bash, Expect scripting and C or C++ language skills. Familiarity with HTML, XML, MySQL, _javascript_, JSON, AngularJS. Ability to write test cases for testing x86 systems including PCIe, DDR memory, I2C/SMBus/PMBus, Ethernet, SAS/SATA, and BMC/IPMI, BIOS subsystem. Familiarity with Linux OS architecture, Linux system administration, the Linux boot process, the Linux kernel and device drivers, and software distribution (RPM). Flexibility to work in both engineering and manufacturing settings. Must be a self-starter, work independently, and with a minimum of supervision. Ability to take initiative to start and complete tasks independently and meet commitments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Education BS in CE/EE; MS or higher desired. |
