The IT Project Managers will act as liaisons between departments impacted by systems in given application areas or system rollout and determine possible system enhancements or new development based on departments' business needs. Additional responsibilities include: planning, estimating, coordinating, and tracking resources (internal and external) and managing tasks for projects within given application areas. The ideal candidate will have experience providing regular support for existing programs and procedures (7 X 24) and reporting progress for team members and self to management. Experience assisting with the implementation of system enhancements or new systems is a plus. Responsibilities Partner with Program Manager or Project Sponsor in developing detailed project plans to meet project objectives. Apply project management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements through the utilization of initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing processes. Manage competing demands relevant to scope, schedule, cost, risk and quality; and differing stakeholder requirements and expectations to satisfactory outcomes. Ensure project quality management through periodic project progress, process, and / or product reviews against established standards. Track and report project progress (performance), risk and issues to project stakeholders. Demonstrate sound business judgment in managing all aspects of a project. Use quantitative and qualitative risk analyses to assist in creating and presenting sound contingency plans. Qualifications 5-7 years of project management experience leading complex projects with multiple applications and integration points. Experience in large retail implementations is preferred especially in areas of POS systems and stores network solution Bachelors degree in Information Systems or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of course work and job experience. Strong customer focus and proven ability to deliver within customer expectations. Understanding of specialty retail concepts and processes. Understand the relationship between business procedures and applications Strong organization skills- ability to organize and prioritize work for self and others. Executive level verbal and written skills. Strong understanding of project methodology and thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
