*Title: Senior Project Manager * *Duration: 12 + Months (Need local consultant for face to face interview)* *Location: Phoenix, Arizona * *Job Description: * Contract Position: Directs, plans, designs, and implements large and complex projects in assigned area(s) of responsibility; manages the quality, scope, schedule, and budget related to assigned project(s) or project elements to support business initiatives. Coordinates with other departments for shared resources and scheduling. Sr. level assists the Director of EPMO in mentoring junior level project staff. Sr. level is assigned projects of greater complexity and business criticality. • Defines and creates project plans for project, portfolio, and product prioritization and implementation. Evaluates trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value. • Builds, leads, and coaches multiple project teams throughout project lifecycles. Facilitates all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle. • Ensures all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company. Assesses and resolves all high priority project risks as they are encountered. • Partners with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria. Continually updates relevant business stakeholder of project status. • Ensures all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in business case. • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer information systems or another relevant area of study from a four-year college or university. • Two to five years of experience in managing increasingly complex projects, working with business users, and third-party vendors. • PMI certification or equivalent preferred, but not required. • Excellent project management, organization, and team collaboration skills; excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills; superior written and verbal communication skills; strong team leadership skills; strong knowledge of business objectives. • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment. Comfortable with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability.
