They work as the mediators between various lines of business in the bank and the development team. The Data Management Specialists translate the business data requirements into logic and instructions for the developers to implement, through detailed analysis of the provided business requirements, the available data and BBVA Compass’ current database models. They develop the complex logical and physical database designs and data models in support of enterprise data management. 1. Help to define user business requirements for the development and implementation of enterprise data management solutions. 2. Develop processes for the delivery of data collected from operational applications and the distribution of this data to the informational platform and data marts for analysis and reporting. 3. Implement data governance standards, policies, and procedures for the control, protection, consistency and delivery of corporate data and information assets. 4. Implement strategies for maintaining data quality, data integrity and performance metrics in the informational infrastructure. 5. Perform impact analysis for changes to operational application processes and data that may affect the informational environment. 6. Review and guide the development of logical and physical data models that have informational impact. 7. Maintain an inventory of data dictionaries that impact the informational infrastructure. 8.
