Experience: · 7+ Years of IT industry experience, with 5+ years experience
as Data Architect. · Successfully developed and maintained logical/physical
data models consisting of 75+ entities/tables. · Captured and managed
metadata on 2+ projects. · Full Life Cycle Project participation on 3+
projects. · Developed relational data models. · Significant experience
interfacing with both customers and management.



Description:

This position is key in understanding, documenting and maintaining
Guardian's data environment for the Customer Experience Program.  This
position entails the following activities:

   - Develop, document and maintain logical and physical data models for a
   multi-phase development project. Analyze enterprise and application logical
   and physical data models and associated business rules;
   - Develop data migration strategies for retiring legacy systems into
   modern information systems;
   - Analyze and design data sizing and scaling approaches, distribution
   alternatives and trade-offs;
   - Coordinate across organizations as required to support data integration
   efforts;
   - Support and apply data standardization policies;
   - Support related modeling and simulation activities; and
   - Other related activities, as assigned.

   - Data Modeling - Understand the current Guardian data environment
   through both logical and physical data models.
   - Metadata - Understand and manage metadata data related to the Guardian
   data environment, interfaces, data mapping, data and models.
   - Model Management - Version and configuration manage data models so that
   they are in synch with development and production environments.

Data Modeling

Develop, document and maintain logical and physical data models that
accurately reflect the existing environment and update for new
projects/enhancements.  Work with DBA and other staff as necessary, to
instantiate physical databases based on the models.

Capture, rationalize, document and manage metadata in order to facilitate
reduced data redundancy and duplication, provide a better understanding of
the data environment and facilitate the reduction of data inconsistencies.

Version and configuration manage data models so that they are consistent
with development testing and production deployment environments.

Publish models and metadata in the form of web pages, graphics and reports
to projects, management and other interested parties in order to raise the
