*Position: Java **Middleware Developers* *Location: **Glen Allen, VA* *Duration: Long Term Contract* *Requirement:* This is the top focus for me this week. I need candidates who are purely *Middleware Developers*. I’ve been getting submissions that are full-stack J2EE but the hiring manager does not want to see those. The most important pieces here are *JMS (MQ), EJB, Soap, and JVM* tuning is a plus. There are three openings and these will be long-term contract positions (at least 6 months but most likely 1-2 years). The manager would rather have local candidates but if you find someone that matches the job perfectly, please send them over and we will do a video conference interview and have them come into one of our offices to do that. Please read over the job and submit your best candidates. *QUALIFICATIONS:* - Minimum 5 - 7 years programming and systems analysis experience. - Demonstrated expert knowledge of life cycle through application of complex, multi-disciplinary software applications, involving complicated technology and integration points. - Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills; communicate to users, technical peers, and vendors. - Ability to work as lead cross-functional team projects with minimal supervision. - Experience in design, code, and support of critical enterprise-level systems. - Experience in supporting large-scale web applications and enterprise service software. *Required technical skills:* · Java 6, Jboss 5 or higher, JMS, JEE 5, EJB 3, Spring, SQL/Databases, Linux/Unix, MQ Series · Experience and knowledge of transactional systems. *Preferred technical skills:* · JVM performance tuning, Hibernate or Java Persistence API (JPA), JAX-WS web services, JAXB XML binding, Ant, web security experience such as WS-Security, Grails, Maven. · Experience with real time inventory systems. *JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* - Develops complex and/or high risk applications. - Designs and develops complex and high risk application interfaces. - Researches and evaluates business systems of a more complex nature. - Assesses the business and organizational implications of key technologies and recommends appropriate action. - Leads the identification and definition of key architectures, components and interfaces, and data model design. - Conducts code reviews. - Oversees the development of technical design alternatives and their implications. - Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs. - Balance multiple priorities, multi-tasking as necessary.
