*JOB DESCRIPTION:*



The Network Engineer is a member of the team responsible for the design,
implementation, administration, and operation of all network technologies,
and is a key player on the team that provides these services to the
organization.  Responsible for all networking technologies and support
across the enterprise including support for two *data centers*, integration
with various cloud computing solutions and business partners, LAN
connectivity within all offices, WAN connectivity between offices,
production web traffic internet circuits, remote worker connectivity, the
security of all network assets, and support for multiple high-volume call
center operations.



*Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities: *



• Provide quality Network and Telecom services to all associates of the
company.  Technology responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
*switching,
routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS, internet/MPLS circuits, web filtering, WAN
optimization, VPN, wireless networking, IP address management, and
videoconferencing.*

• Track and manage all deliverables ensuring tasks and project milestones
are completed in a timely manner. Coordinate and communicate with team
members, peers, project managers, management, and business stakeholders to
ensure tasks and projects have the proper focus and visibility.

• Write executive summaries to recommend the purchase of products or
services that are business oriented and provide the appropriate financial
analysis.

• Facilitate efficient and effective incident and problem management for
the assigned technologies. Work with other IT teams and business units to
restore disrupted services and, through the root cause analysis process,
work to prevent related disruptions in the future.

• Actively participate in the Change Management process to minimize risk to
business operations.

• Work with the Security team to ensure all network technologies are in
line with company information security policies.

• Partner with internal business units, vendors, outsourced managed service
providers, and other internal teams to ensure all services are efficiently
delivered to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of the issues associated with configuring,
supporting, and troubleshooting current networking and telecom technologies
including the following (or similar technologies) is required: *Cisco
networking, Check Point firewalls, Riverbed WAN Optimization, Citrix
NetScaler load balancing, Internet/MPLS circuits, web filtering, IDS/IPS,
DLP, routing protocols such as BGP.*

• Experience supporting a production website and a high-volume call center
environment is preferred.

• Must be self-motivated and capable of successfully delivering assigned
work on-time with minimal supervision.

• Proven ability to collaborate with all parts of the IT organization to
solve problems, implement projects, sell concepts, etc. where the results
are the focal point desired.

• Proven ability to effectively communicate both oral and written
information to all levels of an organization required.

• Proven time management, judgment, problem solving, analytical and
organization skills required.

• Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes required.

• High sense of ownership of defined responsibilities, with a customer
service mindset required.

• Proficient user of office productivity software such as Microsoft Word,
Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint is essential.

• Solid understanding of relevant information security issues is strongly
desired.

• Experience with network segmentation is a plus.

• At least 3 years of direct experience is required providing IT support.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is desired.

• *Applicable professional certifications desired, such as **CCNA, CCNE,
CCIE, and ITIL.*
