*Project description:* They are essentially looking at people with Cisco CRS-1 experience which is their core routing platform. *Skills Required:* • Extensive knowledge of and hands-on experience with troubleshooting layer 3 routing protocols such as BGP (including MP-BGP, Multihop-eBGP, Confederations, route-reflectors, regular expressions, route-maps, etc), OSPF, static and RIPv2 routing • Layer 2 switch design experience including VLANs, 802.1q tagging, EtherChannel • An understanding of IP Quality of Service technologies and implementation including Priority and Class-Based Weighted Fair Queueing, IPPrec, DiffServ • Extensive understanding of IPv4 addressing including supernetting and subnetting. Familiarity with the public IP allocation process • Understanding and hands-on experience with VoIP and VoIP networks with an understanding of the effects of latency, jitter, packet loss, etc • Hands-on experience with lab test gear/applications such as IXIA, Ethereal/Wireshark, snoop • An understanding of layer 1/2 serial line (T1/T3), FastEthernet, Gigabit Ethernet, CWDM, EFM 802.3ah, PPP, HDLC and packet over SONET transport • Experience with and the ability to troubleshoot MPLS VPNs. This includes troubleshooting Remote-Dial PPTP and IPSec tunnel connectivity • Extensive familiarity with Cisco IOS and IOS-XR • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills coupled with a strong interest in IP Networks, QOS and routing • Self-motivated, knowledge-seeking attitude with a willingness and desire to share knowledge and experiences • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience writing complex technical documentation.
