This very large multi year project involves integrating a new vended order management, trading and compliance system with existing SSgA front and back office systems used by portfolio managers, operations, trading and compliance. The developer in this role will be assigned to work either alone or in small teams on the development of specific OMS related custom application/utilities and/or interfaces between the new OMS system and other SSgA systems. Because this role will be working with various systems that were designed in different ways using different technologies, the developer in this role will need to be very adaptable and self motivated to be successful. Experience on both application development side (e.g. Java) and database side is a must. Experience in several languages and in several database technologies is also strongly desirable. Prior experience in systems and business analysis also desirable. Skills/Experience Required - Masters degree in Computer Science or Equivalent - Adaptable highly motivated individual who can work equally well independently or in a group - Excellent communication skills - 8+ years working experience in the industry - Prior experience working in the investment or financial domain.
