He/she will work with business and IT counterparts to translate high-level requirements into functional requirements and detailed design. The Senior Developer will architect and deploy scalable and sustainable software solutions that meet business needs. He/she will also define and document processes that govern the use and maintenance of enterprise application frameworks. Exceptional knowledge of technical design and development practices for relevant technology is required. TRAINING AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Required: · Conduct code reviews and training sessions and have the ability to convey new technology to others · Understand data principles of normalization, data access methods, SOA, EIA, etc. · Develop services using Java, .Net, SQL with an Oracle and/or SQL Server back end · Ability to design architecturally sound solutions for various areas of the business · Strong problem solving, analytical and programming skills with a strong understanding of principles behind service-oriented architecture (SOA) · Quick learner, eager to leverage new technologies in a dynamic team environment · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Demonstrated ability to work independently and multitask effectively · Experience using a defined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology · Excellent presentation skills Experience with the following a plus: · Team Foundation Server (TFS) · Healthcare industry experience · Computer Systems Validation and 21 CFR Part 11 *PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:* *% OF TIME* 1. Design high-quality, high-performance business technology solutions that meet the requirements defined to solve a business need. 20 2. Build/configure/develop and test custom-built or commercial off-the-shelf solutions within the specified timelines. Develop system test plans to ensure a comprehensive approach to delivering quality technology solutions to the business. Address all reported defects within a timely fashion. 45 3. Author and maintain SDLC documents including but not limited to functional/design specifications and technical solution documents. Ensure that test cases executed against developed solutions are accurate and reflect the proper functioning of the system. Review user requirements specifications for clarity and reasonableness. 10 4. Provide outstanding support for business technology solutions, recommending workarounds and resolutions to business challenges that users may encounter; assist in the development of training programs and provide training support as necessary. 15 5.
