Job title : *Sr.Oracle DBA with strong BI experience*** Location : Boston, MA ( Local need or near to MA ) Start : ASAP Duration: 3 -6+ Months Pay Rate: Up to $Open/hr C2C *Below is the JD:* • Developed Oracle Data Guard 11g infrastructure architecture document for various Disaster Recovery project being implemented in the organization. • Developed Oracle RAC 11g architecture document for various infrastructure migration projects. • Developed best practice documents to assist data modeler in doing a physical data modeling. • Developed best practice documents for designing/implementing/monitoring a RAC 11g in RH Linux servers. • Primary DBA on various BI databases instance ranging from 1Terabyte to 6Terabyte. Performed "hands-on" Oracle RDBMS DBA tasks including all service delivery and service support areas including database upgrades, migration, backup/recovery, capacity planning, performance tuning, instance configuration and troubleshooting. Also, demonstrated release management, code migration, database scheme changes, through various stages of the development life cycle. • Mentor off-shore DBA team on fixing database issues. • Worked as a liaison between Data modelers, BI development team, IM infrastructure team, and provided technical support to development and support team, which includes providing database standards for physical data model implementation, database performance considerations, mentoring writing efficient SQL statements, and advising infrastructure needs for BI technologies. • Enhanced the scalability and performance of the existing applications by using oracle solutions like Oracle-partitioning, materialize view, dimension object , bitmap join indexes, oracle pl/sql collections etc. Created best practice document for writing scalable SQL in BI environment. Also, Improved the execution time of many sql report in order of 2x-10x magnitude. • Developed oracle database capacity forecasting tool using MS Excel FE. • Architected/Build/Supported infrastructure needs of following BI technologies used by various BI projects. • OBIEE • ODI • SOA • OAS • Oracle MapViewer • Wrote a Java package to load flat file data into relational database’s table/collection and build an interface to access the loaded data. • Prototype ODI capabilities to consume web services and expose ODI scenario/data elements as web service. • Helped connecting ODI instances to connect to Sonic Enterprise Service Bus and Hyperion Servers.
