This is a great position for a self-starter with strong technical and organization skills, attention to detail and ability to work and lead projects with limited supervision. It also requires experience with developing and deploying QA strategies and best practices. * * *Responsibilities:* This is not an all inclusive list of the duties and responsibilities required of this position: - Develop, manage and execute test plans and test cases. - Generate test reports and traceability matrix. - Ability to decompose high-level business requirements into test scenarios. - Setup and maintain test environments. - Deploy software in Linux environment from .jar and .war files. - Build automated data-driven test harnesses. - Investigate and conduct root cause analysis of software and system defects. - Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others. - Mentor and supervise more junior testers. *Required Skills:* - Hands-on experience with White Box, Grey Box, and Black Box testing. - Strong experience with Linux or UNIX platforms. - Knowledge of relational database concepts and good SQL skills (DB2 is a plus). - Hands-on experience testing and debugging Java-based software (J2EE, JBoss, JMS). - Working knowledge of Web Services and Service Oriented Architecture (WSDL, SOAP and REST). - Proficient in one of programming or scripting languages (e.g. Java, C++ Ruby, Perl, VB). - Solid understanding of Configuration Management concepts. - Proficiency with one of the source control tools (e.g. ClearCase, Subversion, CVS). - Hands-on knowledge of one SoapUI and Eclipse * * *Desirable Skills:* Ideal candidate will also possess the following: - Hands-on experience with JMeter, SOATest, TestLink, SpiraTest - Experience with Load, Stress and Performance testing - BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent *NOTE:* We have multiple opportunities with the same skill set, would appreciate if you could refer any of your friends/associates/colleagues.
