*Job Description:   *

The role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability
to architect Share Point solutions by mapping common customer business
problems to end-to-end technology solutions. Demonstrated ability to engage
in senior level technology decision maker discussions related to agility
business value, and .NET is also a must. Architects are key enablers for
other consultants and partner staff. They oversee delivery of the largest,
most complex, and most strategic projects for enterprise customers.
Architects focus on one or more key lifecycle segments: opportunity,
delivery, or operations. In-depth architecture specialties may include
enterprise, industry, platform, and solutions.

*Responsibilities:*

• Develop project technology strategy by understanding key client
objectives; diagnosing and mapping client requirements; articulating
solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; preparing time
and cost estimates; planning full project life cycle

• Develop roadmap for SharePoint architecture

• Lead development of standards and practices for SharePoint development
including simple browser-created applications leveraging out-of-the-box
SharePoint features, SharePoint Designer-created applications, and custom
component development in Visual Studio

• Lead development of standards and architecture for different application
styles, primarily Content Management, Document Management, and Business
Intelligence, and for the use of SharePoint workflow

• Key participant in governance aspects such as end-user guidance on
leveraging SharePoint, metadata management, permissions management, auditing
requirements, and change management practices

• Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions to validate business
cases, gather and document business and functional objectives

• Implement architecture by building components and custom designs;
prototyping; data migration; maintaining technical integrity and
consistency; documenting system

• Develop and support verification of SharePoint-based solution delivery,
including testing processes, tools, and techniques.

• Prepares client to use IT infrastructure by developing and conducting
training programs • Manage customer relationship by communicating SharePoint
architecture standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving
concerns and issues

• Actively participate in the business development lifecycle.

• Identify opportunities, participate in generating proposals, and support
other efforts

• Increase organization effectiveness by identifying opportunities to
leverage solutions to other engagements

• Enhance overall team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery
of solutions; answer technical and procedural questions for less-experienced
team members; teach improved processes; mentor team members

• Work closely with Common Services to support SharePoint as a Common
Service

• Improve information usefulness by tracking emerging technologies;
evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational
requirements

• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;
reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks;
participating in professional organizations Required Skills:   Requires 7-10
years of SharePoint experience. Design experience of SharePoint 2007 Farm.
Experience with implementing a SharePoint Migration Strategy. Experience
with SharePoint Designer. Experience with setting up SharePoint as a
Document Management application.   Critical Skills:    Strong leadership,
multi tasking and collaboration skills

• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills

• Ability to assess benefit versus risk of implementing technologies

• Ability to think creatively, strategically and act tactically

• Take ownership, self-starter, and drives to completion

• Expertise in enterprise architecture

• Consulting skills such as interviewing stakeholders, conducting
architecture reviews, and consensus building

• Experience leading large group meetings/information gathering sessions
with senior-level executives and excellent written and oral communication
skills

• Professional experience with n-tier application architectures development

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with ability to function at both
the detail and conceptual levels

• Knowledge of Data Modeling, Data Integration

• Experience with service-oriented architectures and XML

• Experience designing, implementing and supporting solutions using
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS), Microsoft SharePoint 2010,
and Windows SharePoint Services technology platforms (including the BI
components of SharePoint).

• Good understanding of Microsoft Information Worker infrastructure and
architecture.

• Understanding of related products such as Project server, Forms server,
InfoPath etc would be plus.

• Experience with integrating SharePoint with related technologies,
especially OpenText and Appian, a plus.

• Additional technical qualifications include hands-on experience in several
of the following products or technologies:.NET Development Platform (Visual
Studio, .Net Framework), C#, C++, VB.Net, ASP.Net, WinForms, Databases,
Transact-SQL, XML, Soap, Web Services, agile development methodologies, SQL
Server, LINQ, Silverlight

• Knowledge of Java JEE technologies, a plus. Education/Certifications:

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience

• Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist in one or SharePoint technologies
