*Immediate Need a IT Project Manager,NC Job Title: IT Project Manager Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 12+ months * *Primary Skills: Distributed Server: of Years Required: 6-8* *Secondary Skills: Wintel: of Years Required: 6-8* * Required skills Responsible for infrastructure or operational staff in support of the IT environment. Directs infrastructure teams in one or more areas of expertise including, but not limited to, networking, server and data management, security, operations, disaster recovery, desktop and handheld devices. Directs infrastructure teams in the areas of scheduling, technical direction, future planning and standard deployment practices. Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project objectives are met in a timely manner and has in-depth knowledge of the principals, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing infrastructure projects. Maintains awareness of emerging technologies. Manages multiple large, complex projects with greater impact on the enterprise. Excels at delivering projects on time and within budget, meeting high quality standards and customer expectations. Excels at analyzing business unit technology needs, dissecting the most complex problems and suggesting process oriented solutions. Serves as SME in all aspects of project management methodology and tools, as well as resource management practices and change management techniques. Excellent ability to track and monitor project execution, regularly updating project plans and status reports. Actively identifies any issues or risks associated with a project, escalating them and possibly implementing mitigation strategies for risk prevention and timely resolution. Leads interdepartmental or interdivisional operational project initiatives. Serves as initial point of escalation for all project management issues. Assists senior level management in coordinating business area activities and balancing workload. Manages and/or mentors project management staff. May develop and implement new proposals on cutting-edge process improvements and technology initiatives. Required education/experience: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field. Project Management Certification preferred. 8 plus years of IT work experience and project management. Viewed as thought leader regarding project management methodology and tools, as well as resource management practices and change management techniques. Excellent understanding of IT and its alignment with business processes. Excellent understanding of SDLC. Manages multiple projects or workstreams of the highest complexity.
