Position: ETL DataStage developer w/ Data Migration

Location: NY

Duration: 9 months



*Description:*
•Work with BD's Data Migration team to design and develop IBM DataStage jobs
used to convert legacy system data into SAP load requirements.
•Evaluate and fine tune data staging databases working with Data Base
Administrators to improve job performance and optimize conversion process
•Define and document Data Migration framework jobs and provide knowledge
transfer to other technical team members
•Document Technical System Design Specifications related to ETL data
conversion and reporting programs.
•Execute and document Technical Testing of data conversion programs
•Execute and document peer code reviews of data conversion programs
•Provide advice and assistance on the technical application and environment
•Support data conversion and reconciliation efforts relating to HR and PII
related data.
•Drive data conversion program defect resolution and document in HP Quality
Center
•Provide off-hour support during data conversion load execution, when
required.
•End-user Support during implementation waves during the conversion cycles

*Work Experience:*
•3-5 years of IBM Information Server DataStage (ETL) experience
•1-2 years of IBM QualityStage experience preferred
•1-2 years of IBM Information Analyzer experience preferred
•Must have knowledge of UNIX
• Must have working knowledge of SQL in an Oracle environment
• Experience supporting an SAP Data Migration is preferred.
• Knowledge of IBM Cognos Reports is preferred.
• Experience with working in an offshore development model is preferred
