Position : Websphere Administrator Location : Eagan, MN Duration : 3+ Months Contract Must be local Face to Face Interview required Technical Environment: WebSphere environment (Portal and Application Server) administration, maintenance, and support. Role Description: Provide technical implementation and support to global development teams and to assist in the maintenance and tuning of a complex WebSphere environment. Candidates need to have a deep proficiency in WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Administration and WebSphere Portal Server (WPS). Also includes on-call Incident and Problem Management for operational issues 24x7. Position Responsibilities: WebSphere administration in support of a global 24x7 enterprise. WebSphere support (on call support for non-production and production servers) Clustering and load balancing of WebSphere environment Performance monitoring and tuning of WebSphere environment. Systems management and application configurations, including code deployment. Daily operational support, maintenance, and incident management of WebSphere and IIS environments. Required Skills / Experience: 5+ years experience administering WebSphere Application Server 6.x 5+ years experience administering WebSphere Portal Server. Expert knowledge in at least one web server, IIS preferred. UNIX experience (preferably AIX) to include competence with OS commands and file system architecture. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively multi-task in a global environment Working knowledge of MS Office suite. Desired Skills / Technologies: Experience maintaining and configuring WebSphere Commerce. Intermediate AIX Shell scripting expertise. Intermediate knowledge of J2EE Intermediate knowledge of.Net.
