Looking for a well-rounded web developer with *solid Java Servlet/JSP
experience *to develop new servlets that will enhance and extend an existing
Cognos-based portal.
Ideal candidate will have a diverse background in web technologies and able
to develop advanced web forms with a strong focus on usability and web
standards.
*Must have:- *
- Experience developing *Java Servlets, JSP, HTML, CSS, SQL,
Javascript,*and an understanding of relational database programming
- Knowledgeable about *web standards, W3C* specifications and
cross-browser/cross-platform compatibility
- Ability to create and *modify complex Javascript, manipulate the DOM, and
design CSS-based layout.*
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on end-user experience
- Knowledgeable with form input validation and web application security
- Solid OO design and development experience
- Development experience with *JDBC, stored procedures, and MVC
architectures*
- Knowledgeable in SMTP and best-practices for developing Servlets with
email functionality
- Experience developing with Ant and troubleshooting build scripts
- Application deployment experience with at least one enterprise-level *web
application server (preferably WebSphere)*
*Nice to have:- *
- Hands-on experience with *AJAX methodologies, XSL/XSLT, XML, JSON, and
jQuery.*
- Knowledgeable with *DB2*
- Development experience with the *Cognos SDK*
- Experience with web services* (WSDL, SOAP, REST), JUnit, Log4J, and
ClearCase*
- Development and application deployment experience with *WebSphere.*
