Duration: 3 months
Install, configure and upgrade Oracle 11g RAC with ASM. Troubleshoot
operational problems. Tune database and SQL queries for optimum performance.
Perform operation duties like backup/restores and oncall support. Complete
projects assigned by group managers.
Atleast 10 years of experience required
In depth knowledge of Oracle 11g R1/R2 RAC Implementation and
Administration on Linux Cluster.
·Adept in managing ASM based database storage
·Experience in supporting Data Warehousing environment,
should be familiar with best practices of supporting a VLDB
·Minimum four years of experience in Oracle Data Guard
setup, troubleshooting and maintenance
·Excellent knowledge of database backup and recovery using
RMAN
·Ability to troubleshoot production issues by analyzing AWR,
ASH and ADDM reports.
·Excellent knowledge of Oracle database/instance tuning,
optimizing complex SQL statements for best possible performance
·Awareness of SAN technology (SRDF) and VCS to support
highly available environments Experience in supporting PeopleSoft
applications is a big plus
·Proven leadership skills and ability to manage multiple UDB
version, instances with multiple operating system platform
·Good scripting skills to develop automation of various
database related tasks
·Familiarity with Oracle GRID Control management and usage
·Familiarity with new features of Oracle 11gR2 is a big
plus.
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Good understanding of incident management and change
management processes
·Must be a team player
