                                    Cloverleaf Interface Engineer (Boston,
MA)



We currently have an Interface Engineer opportunity with our client located
in Boston. This is a long-term contract assignment (6-12 months in
duration). Please see below for further details/qualifications.



*Candidates MUST have Cloverleaf experience to be considered (ideally
Certified in Cloverlead or Healthvision)

*HL7 experience is needed as well

*Must have 8-10 years of experience minimum.





*GENERAL STATEMENT OF OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION:*

**

Member of a team responsible for the analysis, design, coding,
implementation and support of interfaces among systems in the Hospital
network.  Works closely with vendors and application analysts to manage data
flows. Ensures consistency of interfaces development, communication
protocols and processes utilized.  Responsible for maintaining the Interface
Engine.



*SUPERVISION RECEIVED:*



Reports to Manager of Integration and Database



*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *

**

1.      Design, develop, test, implement and support interfaces between
Hospital  applications. Use HL7 or other standard coding protocol languages.
Ensure all new development is consistent with existing code and utilizes
established communication protocols.  Work to accurately estimate work
effort required in interface development.



2.      Develop interface code using *HCI Cloverleaf product*, various
scripting languages such as PERL, TCL or shell scripting.



3. Coordination and staff communication among ITS staff, Vendors and
Application managers. Participate in project teams as new applications are
implemented or existing applications are updated



4.      Maintains up-to-date documentation for all assigned interfaces, and
the Engine.



5.      Assists technical experts with the management of the Interface
Engine and the network on which it runs.



6.      Interacts extensively with other ITS, Hospital and vendor staff.
Maintains positive working relationships, and develop ability to translate
others needs into implication on the Engine/interface.



7.      Proactively manage interfaces and engine, alerting management of
potential issues in advance whenever possible. Monitor interface and engine
usage and make recommendations for upgrades or system enhancements when
needed



8.      Be familiar with multiple hardware platforms, and comfortable
interfacing multiple applications that exist on multiple platforms.



9.      Plan and perform system audits to ensure accuracy of interfaces and
associated processes.  Design audit plan to maintain data and interface
integrity.



10.  Requires participation in rotating on call schedule.





*OTHER DUTIES:*

Perform other duties as needed.



*QUALIFICATIONS AND ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:*

**

1.      Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.



2.      Seven to ten years interface experience, or equivalent work
experience in a related technical area.



3.      Knowledge of or ability to acquire knowledge of multiple hardware
platforms and operating systems.



4.      Ability to perform problem and structure analysis, and proven
ability to design and develop applications/interfaces. Ability to identify
issues and problems and recommend solutions.



5.      Knowledge of Unix operating systems, TCP/IP networking and scripting
languages such as PERL and TCL.



6.       Knowledge of HL-7 interface standards preferred



7.      Must be self –directed and possess excellent verbal and written
communication skills



8.      Proven project management skills, including ability to scope work,
provide accurate time estimations and interface impact on engine.



9.      *Knowledge of Healthvision engine.*
