*Primary Function:*

·         The Information Security Assurance Engineer is accountable for
designing and implementing the overall enterprise threat management
infrastructure and processes as well as working with management to implement
improvements with an emphasis on efficiency, effectiveness, and stability of
the threat management program.

·         The position scope involves implementation, maintenance and
configuration of key enterprise security event and information management
and vulnerability management technologies and processes.

·         In addition this position will provide technical information
security guidance to corporate and BU IT groups to ensure new and existing
architectures are in line with Wyndham Worldwide Security Policies,
standards and best practices.

·         This position will be responsible for seeking threats to the
enterprise environment both current and on the horizon and testing the
organizations’ ability to resist them.

·          The Information *Security Assurance Engineer* will utilize
technological tools to develop a deep understanding of all activities
including security events that are occurring in the Wyndham Worldwide
environment.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*

·         Plans the operational aspects of the Enterprise Threat Management
program including design, data collection, configuration development, and
incident response in conjunction with other Wyndham Worldwide organizational
units.

·         Utilize Wyndham Worldwide solutions to collect, correlate, and
respond to pertinent security events and information.

·         Provide enterprise threat reporting outlining current threats and
anomalies reported by the Security Event and Information Management
infrastructure.

·         Monitor external security research organizations, IRC, and honey
pot projects to keep Wyndham Worldwide up to date on the external IT threat
landscape.

·         Work with operational entities within the business to adjust
defense strategies based on the overall internal and external threat
landscape.

·         Perform quarterly vulnerability assessments on all Wyndham
Worldwide Business Unit and Corporate environments.

·         Work with Business Unit and Corporate operational groups to guide
remediation efforts of discovered vulnerabilities.

·         Develop, implement and maintain operational controls, processes
and procedures around system hardening and risk and exception management.

·         Research and recommend new/improved security products and
procedures with a focus on continued process improvement regarding network,
systems and application security.

·         Contributes to Enterprise security team effectiveness by
accomplishing additional security related results as needed

*Skills and Abilities*

·         Bachelor Degree in Business, Management, Computer Sciences, or
equivalent prior work experience in a related field

·         Three to five years in a computer related field, with at least two
in Information Security

·         *CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CISA or related certification(s) *

·         Experience with security products and concepts such as TCP/IP
firewalls, VPNs, IDSs and other security devices; as well as contract and
vendor negotiation experience

·         Strong background in security event management, application
security, network and system security, vulnerability assessment, distributed
systems administration, security auditing techniques and/or general computer
controls.

·         Must have strong analytical skills (i.e., technical and
non-technical problem solving skills)

·         Must have the ability to write effective memos, simple and complex
reports, and documentation

·         Must have the ability to communicate technical and
security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical
staff and management

·         Possess strong interpersonal and project management skills

·         High personal credibility and integrity

·         Strong *ability to persuade, convince and influence others through
collaboration *

·         *Must have the ability to work and effectively prioritize in a
highly dynamic work environment *

·         *Act responsibly* and professionally as part of the IT Security
team

·         Maintain a professional working relationship throughout all levels
