*SUMMARY:-*
- *3 yrs of NetApp*
- Experience with OnTap 8.0.x, NetApp Management Console, CLI, Operations
Manager, NetApp System Manager, thin provisioning and data de-duplication.
- Ability to troubleshoot *NetApp issues used by VMware, Linux and Windows.*
*Responsible for supporting* NetApp, specifically NetApp V3250s and V6080
filers running with PAM cache.
The responsibilities will include managing performance, tracking capacity,
resolving any system notification issues, thin provisioning issues and data
dedup issues.
Communication and customer service skills are essential as the NetApp
Administrator will be collaborating with business units and other
senior-level technical support teams to design, develop, implement and
support hypervisor based solutions.
This position requires a high degree of teamwork.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude and a desire to
learn and share knowledge about *VMWare, UNIX and Windows Servers. *
They also need to be an energetic, self motivated individual who is
committed to customer service and enjoys working in a collaborative team
environment.
*Required Skills and Experience:-*
- *Experience (3+ years) supporting NetApp. *
- Experience using *OnTap 8.0.x.*
- Administration expertise utilizing NetApp Management Console, CLI,
Operations Manager, NetApp System Manager, thin provisioning and data
de-duplication.
- Ability to troubleshoot *NetApp issues used by VMware, Linux and Windows.*
- Experience developing processes to automate common tasks for use by the
level-1 support team.
- Experience with training level-2 support staff.
- Experience using a formalized change management and incident management
process.
*Desired Skills and Experience:-*
- Capable of monitoring, configuring and diagnosing NetApp performance
issues.
- Experience providing remote support and collaborating with a globally
based support team.
- Experience with the *Network File System* (NFS) protocol.
- University degree.
*On-Call responsibilities:-*
The core hours for this role are 8AM to 5PM.
On-Call timeframe is 5PM - 8AM, some weekends and is a responsibility that
is shared among the team.
