Senior application developer for Global Fixed Income Order Management System
(GFI OMS) project. This very large multi year project involves integrating
a new vended order management, trading and compliance system with existing
front and back office systems used by portfolio managers, operations,
trading and compliance. The Developer in this role will be assigned to
work either alone or in small teams on the development of specific OMS
related custom application/utilities and/or interfaces between the new OMS
system and other SSgA systems. Because this role will be working with
various systems that were designed in different ways using different
technologies, the developer in this role will need to be very adaptable and
self motivated to be successful. *Experience on both application
development side (e.g. Java) and database side is a must.* Prior
experience in systems and business analysis are highly desirable.
*- 8+ years working experience in the industry*
*- Strong client side and server side Java experience – ideally GWT and
JBoss*
*- Strong Database (solid PL/SQL a must) stored procedure experience (Sybase
and Oracle)*
*- Prior experience working in the investment domain – i.e. buy side fixed
income domain.*
- Some experience with PERL needed
- Adaptable highly motivated individual who can work equally well
independently or in a group
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in enterprise job scheduling software (Autosys)
- Prior experience with Fidessa LatentZero Minerva and Sentinel are a strong
plus.
- Familiarity with Clear Case, Clear Quest, Eclipse a plus.
