Position: Senior Software Tester Location: Dulles, VA Duration: 6 months QA/Testing: - 8+ years of software testing experience in a Test/QA organization. - 4+ years of experience working in a UNIX/LINUX/JAVA environment testing Web applications connecting to a backend database. Experience working with web apps on Mobile devices highly desired - Ability to devise test strategies, document test plans and test cases based off analysis of business requirements, technical requirements, and design documents. - Ability to determine test scope and provide accurate test estimates. - Must utilize test tools to perform manual and automated testing of APIs, UIs, and reports. Any automation experience with web based applications in JAVA highly desired - Strong problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot application and environment issues a must. - Ability to identify, diagnose, and clearly articulate software defects. - Ability to work independently with minimum supervision to accomplish assigned tasks on schedule. - Must effectively communicate testing status to management. - Previous programming experience a plus. - 4+ years database experience, preferably Oracle/MYSQL, with proven ability to write SQL scripts to verify test results. - 2+ years work experience writing UNIX shell and / or Perl scripts. Education: B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
