Location: Phoenix, AZ Duration: 6 months contract Job Description: · Assign and resolve problem tickets assigned to the database group. · Document problem resolutions. · Ensures problems are tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner. · Identify and implementation of opportunities to reduce problems and optimize support. · Analyze and improve SQL-statement and query performance. · Configure database parameters and network components to ensure database access as well as database consistency and integrity. · Installation, update, and patching of database software including coordination with OS groups. · Implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets. · Create new databases and/or implement changes to existing databases including reviewing all changes and relevant documentation. · Work closely with IT project managers, application support teams, and developers providing technical solutions and project support. · Provide leadership for small to medium projects or tasks.
