we are in search of a Sr. Software Engineer to join the Content Services
organization for a 6 month contract position in El Segundo, CA. *A phone
and/or in-person interview is required (Skype interview also an optio).*
Our Sr. Software Engineer will be expected to:
* Design, code and test software written in *Java, JavaScript, HTML and
CSS, utilizing frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring, AJAX and jQuery.*
* Write, execute and tune *SQL queries on both MySQL and Oracle database
systems.
** Demonstrate an exceptional understanding of object oriented design
concepts.
* Be able to interpret business requirements and translate them into
functional design components with minimal direction.
* Be able to accurately describe and/or present highly technical designs
and systems to a non-technical audience (both verbally and written).
* Report on status of projects to stakeholders and upper management.
* Attend and contribute to project design and planning meetings.
* Tackle complex software problems including coding, testing and
troubleshooting.
* Proactively research and recommend ways of improving performance and
usability of applications.
* Write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and
corrections.
* Work successfully in a deadline-driven, fast paced environment and
effectively multitask multiple priorities.
* Occasionally supervise the launch of various services during irregular
hours (evenings and weekends).

REQUIREMENTS*
* BS or MS (preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or
equivalent area of study.
* Practical experience developing and deploying web-based and J2EE
applications required.
* Background or familiarity with interactive content or mobile
application development strongly desired.
* Strong experience with *Java, J2EE, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Tomcat,
JBOSS, Web Services/WDSL/XML/JSON/REST, SQL, JTA/Hibernate, Oracle,
MySQL, JMS, and Log4j.
* Proficient in T-SQL or PL/SQL.*
* Experience building *Web 2.0 applications using AJAX.*
* Experience in configuration management and revision *control using SVN
or CVS.*
* Proficient with the Linux command line environment.
* Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing requirements.
