- Under limited supervision (working individually or as part of a project
team), performs complex research and analysis to support day to day
Insurance Application usage by the business.
- Ability to work independently and lead others during projects; in-depth
knowledge of the business practices and processes; in-depth knowledge of
Systems development lifecycle as it pertains technical design and
development.
- Consults with the Project Manager and project leader to address
problems and provide recommendations.
- Demonstrated Advanced analytical/problem solving and research skills;
effective communication skills for writing reports/proposals and making
presentations;
- Proficiency with the AS400 (iSeries 5). Languages include: RPGIV or
higher, Control Language (CL), Data Definition Source (DDS), Screen Design
Aid (SDA) and SEU (Programming Development Manager). In addition,
knowledgeable in XML.
- 3rd Party Software: ALDON, iSeries Navigator, ROBOT, GENIUS, including
integration components GGI and GWSIS.
- Effective negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills.
- Bachelor degree or MBA (preferred) in business or technical discipline
and at lease five years of relevant work experience in the Insurance
Industry including Specialty Casualty and Casualty lines of business.
