Direct Client Need

Sr. Oracle DBA
Location : Hartford , CT
Duration : 12+ Months

Some of the critical skills required of the DBA team:

•          Good written and verbal communication skills
•          Strong core Oracle database administration skills on Oracle 9i, 10G, 
11G
•          Must have handled RAC environments (9i or 10G)
•          Strong knowledge on Oracle Backup and Recovery
•          Proficiency in RMAN and ASM concepts.
•          Proficiency in Oracle database version upgrade and patching 
activities
•          Oracle Data guard implementation and Administration.
•          UNIX basic networking and administration concepts
•          Consulting skills on application team support for Unix and Linux 
scripting
•          Self starting staff who can take a task and manage it to a 
successful conclusion
•          On shore support will provide 7X24 hr beeper support on a rotation 
basis
•          Working knowledge in Remedy tool for ticketing workflow.

Some of the skills that would be nice to have would include previous support 
with:
•          EXADATA
•          Shell scripting
•          Remedy tool
