ETL Developer Location:Washington, DC Duration: 10 Months *Job Description:* This individual will act as the Senior ETL Developer for the IDA project and will be responsible for planning, coordinating with stakeholders and developing an ETL application using Informatica. This position requires demonstrated experience using the Informatica Suite of tools as well as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). The ETL processes will utilize Metdata from the IDA Repository to dynamically map the data. The Database environment for the project is SQL Server 2005 (to be upgraded to 2008 Enterprise) and for the data sources, it will vary depending upon the data source. Prior experience with SQL on Oracle and SQL Server databases will be required. Consultant will plan, design and implement a prototype that will evaluate the functionality and performance of Informatica to implement both initial and incremental data loads across multiple networks. Consultant will analyze source data models and application of the data models for the target (IDA) system’s needs. Consultant will coordinate with multiple stakeholders and will develop a report and presentation for client and other documentation as needed * * *Principal Duties and Responsibilities:* - Develop new ETL application using Informatica Power Center to load large amount of data from multiple data sources into IDA’s SQL Server database repository; develop Mappings using Metadata and convert existing ETL procedures using SSIS to Informatica; develop Data Integration procedures using Informatica suite of tools including B2B and Power Exchange; develop SQL programs and Stored Procedures as required for the ETL processes and Data Integration activities (65%). - Coordinate, plan, communicate, develop client presentations and other documentation.
