Role: Senior Ab Initio Developer
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 5 months
Start: ASAP
Qualifications:
* 4+ years of Data Warehouse development experience
* 2+ years hands-on experience with Ab Initio. In-depth understanding
of the GDE, core component sets (i.e. Dataset, Database, Transform, Look-up,
De- partition & Partition), file management utilities and usage of
environment variables.
* Hands-on experience designing, developing and optimizing complex
graphs that move and/or manipulate large volumes of data
* Hands-on experience and expertise analyzing and optimizing
performance of extracts, loads and transformations
* Hands-on experience and proficiency with SQL
* Hands-on experience and proficiency with Unix and shell scripting
* Strong knowledge and use of BI/DW development methodologies,
standards and procedures
* Resourceful, self starter, little supervision needed
* Good team work and communication skills
Responsibilities:
* Analyze, design, develop, test, document and deploy Ab Initio
software components
* Work under the guidance of a team lead and report status as required
* Follow and improve upon development guidelines, standards and
procedures
* Coach junior Ab Initio developers as required
* Provide support for code promotion, deployment, and troubleshooting
* Seek ways to continuously improve personal efficiency and
effectiveness
