*Must have Strong: Cognos 8.4, Unix scripting, Oracle Please send only local candidates to WI or IL (Face to face required) **Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Experience in designing and building BI solutions using the Cognos suite. Setting up multi-server Cognos 8 (8.4) environment, installing and configuring all components of Cognos 8 products such as BI Server, DecisionStream, OLAP Builder, Metric Server in Unix environment, all modeling components; Assume ownership of the requirements collection, design and delivery for BI user interface (Reports, Cubes, and Corporate Dashboards). Prepare/analyze dimensional matrix for BI data marts. Identify dimensions, hierarchies and the measures for the business areas. Ability to use DecisionStream as ETL tool to load Data Warehouse with the information from multiple sources. Design and Create Cognos cubes using Power Play Transformer. Design and create metadata via Framework Manager and make it available to the Cognos Connection. Assist users with writing reports using any tools available in Cognos 8 suite such are Query, Analysis, and Report Studios. Apply and maintain Security using C7 Access Manager and Sun One LDAP. Oracle PL/SQL. Provide post-implementation and on-going production support. * *Minimum Requirements for this position include: Five years of development and architecture experience in the design and deployment of ETL (DecisionStream), Cubes, reporting tools, and Dashboards. Installation of Cognos products. 6 months 3+ 1+ UNIX & UNIX Shell scripting. MSOffice Suite experience on PC. A preferred candidate would also have Experience in working with Oracle PL/SQL.
