We are currently looking for "Informatica Tech Lead/ SME with Finance 
experience". The requirement details are as follows

Role:                Informatica Tech Lead/ SME with Finance experience
Location:            Hartford, CT
Duration:            6 months



Description:
The Finance Systems Technical Lead is responsible for providing technical 
support for all applications within the Finance Systems suite.  This position 
will report to the Finance Production Systems Manager and the candidate must 
possess a comprehensive understanding of the Finance, Actuarial, Reinsurance 
and Data Warehousing systems. The candidate will work in a Global Production 
Support team with an offshore/onshore outsourcing model.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.            Production Support:
*         Works as part of the Finance System Support Team to implement 
changes, enhancements and to troubleshoot production bugs in the Finance 
Systems suite of applications. This includes, but is not limited to, 
Informatica development, database analytics, updates and data modifications 
using MSSQL as well as the creation, execution and control of batch jobs using 
Autosys scheduler.
*         Responsible for monitoring the performance, stability and operability 
of all environments for each application within the Finance Suite.
*         Must be able to write comprehensive technical specifications and unit 
test plans.  These must be detailed enough to hand-off to other junior staff or 
offshore resources.
*         Gather requirements for maintenance and enhancements by meeting with 
strategic partners (business and GTS/DSM) to gain clarity and understand the 
change request needs.
*         Ability to understand and accurately estimate new project efforts or 
maintenance items.  These estimates will need to be developed with fully 
documented assumptions, a clear understanding of the interdependencies between 
all XL systems and the ability to determine impacts for those supported 
applications.
*         Must be able to complete a milestone-level project plan and 
contribute to adding detailed tasks and durations.
*         Guide and coordinate with onshore and offshore resources to complete 
change requests, resolve production issues and answer user requests.  
Accountable for the quality of service delivery of the strategic vendor staff 
both off and onshore.
*         Provide support for production problems as a point of escalation for 
our onshore and offshore resources.
*         High availability will be required, including 24 x 7 on-call support 
on a regular rotation as well as during QA and Production release cutovers.
*         Support testing of any infrastructure activities that may impact 
Financial Systems Applications.  A Working knowledge of such changes includes 
DNS changes, Active Directory changes, Router / Network configuration changes, 
server rebuilds, SQL Server upgrades and/or Microsoft Security patch installs, 
Server Hardening, Disaster Recovery testing etc.
*         Responsible for designing and developing performance improvements in 
our highly integrated environment.  Understanding impacts to applications both 
down and up-stream.
*         Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of the SDLC lifecycle 
and audit requirements documenting any project or maintenance work completed.
*         Ability to play varying roles in the SDLC process including but not 
limited to:
*         Developing maintenance items for one of many supported applications,
*         Serving as a staff developer on a larger project team
*         Overseeing / leading the development of multiple maintenance items 
within a release.
*         Documentation and adherence to a proper issue escalation process.
*         Participate in the GTS change control process. Scheduling of changes, 
risk and impact assessment of infrastructure changes on your application, 
interaction with GTS Product managers to perform integration testing as needed 
when infrastructure components change (OS SP's, security patches, monitoring 
tools, etc.)

2.            Release Coordination:

*         Must possess a comprehensive understanding of the Finance, Actuarial, 
Reinsurance and IDW systems.
*         Must understand the interdependencies between all XL systems well 
enough to analyze a release, determine impacts and interdependencies in a 
release, and complete a comprehensive and practical release plan and schedule.
*         Understands the release calendar and what Production Support, 
Maintenance and Projects are included in the release.
*         Follows up with other teammates and/or project teams responsible for 
each development effort to identify any issues with timeline, code management 
or testing.  Any issues are escalated to the Release Manager for resolution.
*         Will work closely with the Support Teams (GTS/DMS) to coordinate and 
plan each QA and/or Production Cutover.
*         Ability to analyze and determine alternatives when a release schedule 
is behind.  Can we run multiple job streams, what are the dependencies etc?  
How can we make up the lost time and who needs to be involved?
*         Ability to troubleshoot any issues during a cutover using the 
information gathered when reviewing the changes prior to the cutover with the 
Technical Leads and contact support resources/developers.
*         Will be expected to work in shifts with another release coordinator 
during the cutover.  This may last multiple days until the entire cutover and 
jobs required are complete.
*         Responsible for ensuring that all code, parameter files, scripts etc 
are promoted successfully.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

*              Must have at least 8 years experience with Informatica and 
knowledge of data warehousing, ceded reinsurance and project management is 
preferred.
*              No more than 25% travel may be required for this role.
*              Superior organization and communication skills.  This includes 
an ability to work with little supervision, be proactive and take initiative on 
your own to resolve issues.
*              Ability to develop productive working relationships with our 
business and strategic partners to provide a stable, efficient and robust 
production environment.
*              Full knowledge over execution of Software Development Lifecycle 
(SDLC).
*              Five plus years with in the following technical areas;
o             Informatica version 7.1 or higher
o             Microsoft SQL Server (2000, 2005 and 2008). Performance tuning is 
a plus.
o             Creating Autosys jobs - minimum two years experience is a 
requirement.
o             Good working knowledge of Window (bat or cmd) scripting.
o             AS/400 experiences a plus.
*              An energetic, flexible, fast paced work style with a high 
tolerance for unplanned or unscheduled events. The ability to multitask is a 
must.
*              Schedule flexibility allowing for weekend and on-call support.
