Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures and integration of systems through database design. Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of database management. - Lead the analysis of database requirements, including configuration, system, and scope of database. Design, review and modeling across platforms. - Design complex data models to support clinical data information management. - Architect and design of databases in Oracle 11g for transactional clinical applications. Build database schemas, write stored procedures and determine where the logic will lie. Database views. Data tier. --- - Preferably in rapid application development environment. - Maintain the Data Services (data block) to update and retrieve data to/from the database. - Listen to business and product requirements and translate these into a good database design. - Handling accumulation of historical data; all data date and time stamped. - Data Modeling and implementation. - Relational, dimensional, star/snowflake design - PSQL - ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) - Stored procedures, triggers - Work with technical infrastructure professionals to identify database server hardware and storage recommendations and web server to database architecture. - Design a data model to capture most commonly used attributes and create a standard schema. - Identify options for accommodating attributes that vary by client/deal. - Implement processes and process to feed next-generation data to the data warehouse. - Make changes as needed by developers including stored procedures, triggers, design changes and improvements, PL/SQL coding. - Use tools such as System Architect, ERWIN, LBMS for logical and physical data modeling, reverse engineering.
